I had a lunch date with a girlfriend in Little Italy and I took the opportunity to try out Harumama. I want super excited because I love me some noodles! Especially ramen noodles ?
I love the hexagon/honeycomb decor trend going on right now so I loved seeing it used here at Harumama!
HARU tonkotsu broth / chicken chashu / fried tofu / kale / bamboo shoots
I ordered the Haru ramen. Now this was interesting, it came with kale. I like kale so that’s why I gravitate towards this dish. The broth was wonderful, it had that richness you expect from a tonkotsu broth. The noodles were also wonderful… they have the chew that ramen should have. I’m all about texture and these noodles bright there A game. The chicken, however, was okay, this is the second time I’ve gotten chicken in ramen and I just think I’m not a fan. Next time no chicken for me and that works better for me anyways because I’m cutting down on my meat consumption.
I didn’t order the cute buns that everyone seems to be posting on Instagram. They have one with purple sweet potato that looks like a panda ?! I’ll have to come with a bigger appetite and get those next time too! ?
Harumama is definitely a good place to meet with friends and would make for a fun date night in Little Italy!
Make sure to grab some ice cream at Salt & Straw afterward or a scoop of gelato at Pappaleco! Also be sure to check out Piazza della Famiglia, the outdoor pavilion by the new Little Italy Food Hall. They have a fun-filled calendar of events like outdoor movie nights, cook-offs, and salsa dancing!
Thanks for stopping by and until we eat again!
